Living Suspense

Figuring out the movie before the audience.
Knowing the next turn before you've seen it.
An expectation met in the plot of fiction.
But now I'm figuring out the secrets of my own life.
The foreshadowing events that have led
To new clues and conclusions.
A horrific outcome with detrimental implications.
But I will wait to see what truly lies ahead.
And focus on the obvious realities of life.
And try not to be
living suspense.

God Wants Faith!

You bought the Whole world with your blood.
You were the perfect, sacrificial lamb that has blotted out our sins.
But it was never the sacrifice that saved.
It was their faith that made them righteous.
So true today!
It is simply because of our faith
In Christ's redeeming act
That God considers us blameless.
Righteous.
When the Atoning sacrifice was made,
It was for all of Israel,
However, not all of Israel was saved,
Because not all of Israel trusted
In the redeeming grace of God,
through the sacrifice.
How does this work?
Am I on the right track?
Christ did not just die for the sins
Of those He knew would believe.
He died for everyone's sins,
But that's not the only thing that brings salvation.
God Wants Faith!

Out of Time

What a struggle!
What a journey!
What a chance!
And we only get one!
Why are we SO concerned with doing it "right" the first time?
When there isn't going to be a second?
Why not tackle life HEAD ON!
not OFF!
This isn't the practice round!
Heck! there IS NO ROUND!
We are all running our own races.
Chasing God's glory till that inexplicable day.
When we will receive the prize!
THE PRIZE!!!
Simply, standing in His GLORY!
What other prize do i WANT to run for?!
Run your race with this in mind:
God's glory is the prize I run for,
The remainder of life's struggles will fall into place.

IT WILL BE AMAZING!
Think of the awesome things that bring us pleasure right now!
Music, Art, Sports, Flavors, Sights, Relationships, to infinity!
The reason we enjoy these things.
Is because God had a hand in it all!
Little bits of His Glory are found in everyday life.
Look for them.
They will remind you why you are running your race.

My Rubbermaids

I left the memories in a rubbermaid.
I left my heart in a plastic box.
All of the random memorabilia, saved.
But for what?
It isn't with me.
Always reminding me
how i wished to choose
a different life than this.
But maybe.
I'm not tied down anymore.
By home or it's implications.
There are car loads of information
that i would have never found anywhere else.
But it is my turn to get off the bus and start walking.
I'm walking my own walk, but it still resembles my home walk.
Just not governed by it.
A thought.

to a hairy, hateful monster
you hide in your BACK room?

Sometimes...

...i hear a growl.

That beast will grow
to a size, unmanageable.
